New activities added every week, just turn up.

This is a
movement.

Not a programme. Not a campaign. Just real people, moving together in Barking & Dagenham.

Run sessions in B&D?

activity.

If you run regular activities in Barking & Dagenham and they're not showing up here, you can list them on OpenSessions and they'll appear in the finder. It's free, takes ten minutes, and it's the same listing London Sport pulls into get-active across the city.

02 / About B&D MOVES

Plain
English.

Here's what it is, who it's for, and what it actually does.

What is B&D Moves

We're here to help you move. Simple as that. We make it easy to find local activities you're actually interested in, meet people in your neighbourhood, and have a bit of fun while you're at it. Bring a mate, have a natter, maybe grab a cuppa after. Or don't! No stress, no pressure, and no need for any fancy kit. Just turn up – and you might just discover something you love.

Who it's for

Honestly? Anyone. Whether you've been playing sport your whole life or you're not quite sure where to start, we're not fussed. Young, old, somewhere in between – if you're curious, you're welcome. A Saturday morning walk, a dance class, a five-a-side kick-about. Whatever it looks like, we're here for it.

What it does

Think of us as your local notice board for getting active in B&D. We find all the good stuff happening near you, stick it in one place, and tell you how to get involved. Looking for a running club? A yoga class? Somewhere green to take the kids on a weekend? We give you the what, when, and how, sprinkle in a bit of encouragement, and the rest is up to you. It's your move!
